SDPY HIGH SCHOOL

The S.D.P.Y. High School, which started functioning from 04-06-1950, with Shri G. Govinda Kaimal was its First Head master .

Bifurcation

SDPY High School was bifurcated into SDPY Boys High School and SDPY Girls’ High School with effect from 01-10-1970 . The first Head Master of SDPY Boys' High School was Sri. T.P. Peethambaran master.

Plattinum Jubilee Building

After the ceremony of the consecration of the Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple Sree Narayana Guru laid the foundation stone for the lower primary school under SDPY.

The L.P. School, started functioning in 1919 with one division each for Class I and Class II. The First Head Master was late Shri Narayana Pillai. The Primary School started functioning at full swing with effect from 18-05-1925. The School earned the distinction as a Model L.P. School, during 1978-79, Shri K.N. Ravindran Master was the Head Master. The children at the school are making use of every opportunity to prove their excellence in curricular as well as extra curricular activities. They have earned rolling trophy and individual championship at Sub District Level Competitions.

Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple

The main institution under the SDPY is the Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple ( Mahakshethram ).The temple is being administered by the Sree Bhavaneeswara Devaswam. The Diety of the temple ' Lord Siva ' was consecrated by Sree Narayana Gurudevan on 8 th march,1916 ( 24/07/1091 ME).

The Sree Dharma Paripalana Yogam was founded in 1904 with the guidance and blessings of Sree Narayana Guru.
The SDPY is a charitable society working for the spiritual and educational uplift of the Ezhava community for the past 102 years.
The main institution under the SDPY is the Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple (Mahakshetram). The temple is being administered by the Sree Bhavaneeswara Devaswam The deity at the temple ‘Lord Siva’ was consecrated by Sree Narayana Gurudevan on 8th March, 1916 (24-07-1091 M.E.). After the ceremony, Sree Narayana Gurudevan laid the foundation stone for the Lower Primary School under the SDPY. Blessings of Gurudevan is the motive force behind all the developments under the SDPY.
The SDPY found by Ezhavas, a backward community in Kerala State, in and around Palluruthy, Kochi-682006. is having about 6000 members at present. It is being managed by an executive consisting of President, School Manager and Devaswam Manager. They are being assisted by 9 council members and 37 general committee members. All the above office bearers are elected during the annual general body meeting. School Advisory Board, Devaswam Advisory Board and Internal Auditors also assist the executive in managing the affairs effectively.
