After the ceremony of the consecration of the Sree Bhavaneeswara Temple Sree Narayana Guru laid the foundation stone for the lower primary school under SDPY.

The L.P. School, started functioning in 1919 with one division each for Class I and Class II. The First Head Master was late Shri Narayana Pillai. The Primary School started functioning at full swing with effect from 18-05-1925. The School earned the distinction as a Model L.P. School, during 1978-79, Shri K.N. Ravindran Master was the Head Master. The children at the school are making use of every opportunity to prove their excellence in curricular as well as extra curricular activities. They have earned rolling trophy and individual championship at Sub District Level Competitions.
