Independence day was celebrated in an awesome manner.The national flag was hoisted at Sree Narayana Nagar by our honourable manager Sri. V.K.Pradeep.All schools under SDPY are congrated at SN Nagar. A grand march past was the main attraction. NCC, Scout, JRC,band troups, and students participated in the march past.
Independence day message was given by Sri. Suresh commander of southern Navy. Sri. A.K.Santhosh Honourable president of SDPY presided the function.Kumari Sarau cine artist was the chief guest. Sri. E.K.Muraleedharan Master and other reputable persons gave blessings.

Akhil Unnikrihnan a student and leader of NCC unit made SDPYBHS' proud.
He won the Chief Ministers
' " Best Cadet Award" for 2009.He was appreciated on the occation of the independence day celebrations. PTA awarded a special prize to him for his achievement.
